Auction Preview

Prior to each auction we hold a viewing in our saleroom in Tokyo where all the lots for sale are on display and our sales team are on hand to answer any questions. This is an opportunity to view our lots personally so please be sure to check the condition of the lots you are interested in before placing bids as we do not accept any cancellations after the auction.

Our auction catalogue is published around two weeks before each auction, you may access the online version of our next upcoming auction on the homepage once it is available.
※Please note that the colours depicted in our catalogue may vary under different lighting conditions.

If you are unable to visit our saleroom, you may request a condition report which will be prepared by our specialists. Please bear in mind that our reports are for guidance only and that personally viewing the lots is recommended.

The Auction

Mallet International auctions use the bidding-up system, with four ways to participate:
1)Displaying a paddle in our saleroom
2)Absentee bidding in written form
3)Live telephone bidding
4) Online Live bidding

For first-time bidders we require extra documentation. Please check our guidelines for prospective overseas bidders for further information.

You may bid in person by filling out our bidding form and by picking up a paddle, available at our reception on the day. Once the sale has begun, the auctioneer will hold the sale in lot-order. If you would like to place a bid, please raise your paddle.

Please fill out our Absentee bid form and email or fax it to us at least 24 hours before the auction. During the sale a Mallet International representative will bid on your behalf up to the maximum amount indicated.

Please fill out our Telephone bid form and email or fax it to us at least 48 hours before the auction. Telephone bids are accepted on a first-come-first-served basis as the number of available phone lines is limited.

Please also be aware that telephone bidding is reserved for customers who intend to bid within or above the estimate range as published in our catalogue. Should you wish to bid below the lower estimate, please make an absentee bid instead.

Through our ONLINE LIVE BIDDING system, you may easily bid with us anywhere by using your computer, smartphone or tablet. Online live bidding requires web member registration and an application for each auction in advance.
